Ethiopian President Mulatu Teshome paid a visit to the manufacturing facilities of South Korea’s leading display maker LG Display in Paju City, northwest of Seoul, on Wednesday.
The visit to the Paju complex took place on the request of Mulatu who is in Korea to participate in the 2015 World Water Forum, the largest international event which seeks to advance the cause of water, being held in Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province.

Since the establishment of one of the world’s largest display clusters in 2006, it is often referred to as a successful case of developing both a corporate and the local economy
The complex equipped with water processing and recycling systems is also well-known for its environmentally-friendly industrial infrastructure.
The display business unit of LG Group has been running support programs to help local communities in the African nation to start businesses, and scholarship programs for descendants of Ethiopian veterans who participated in the 1950-53 Korean War.
