중국 북부 헤이룽장(黑龍江)성에서 미확인비행물체(UFO)로 추정되는 물체가 지면에 흔적을 남겨 당국이 조사에 나섰다고 중국신문망(中國新聞網) 등 현지 매체들이 19일 보도했다.
헤이룽장성 솽청(雙城)시 싱산(杏山)진 순리(順利)촌 주민 2명은 지난 17일 오전 10시께 마을 앞 쑹화장(松花江)에서 고기를 잡던 중 하늘에서 검은 연기처럼 생긴 한 가닥 선이 자신들로부터 5㎞가량 떨어진 곳에 떨어지는 것을 목격했다.
이 물체가 지면에 닿은 후 굉음과 함께 거대한 버섯구름이 피어올라 15분가량 보이다가 사라졌다.
주민들이 해당 지점에 가보니 강변의 보호사면이 길이 20ｍ, 폭 15ｍ가량 패여 있었고 주변의 풀이 어지럽게 뽑혀 있었다.
그러나 현장에서는 추락한 물체나 파편, 불에 탄 흔적 등은 발견되지 않았다.
주민 신고를 받은 현지 공안 당국은 외부인의 현장 접근을 통제하고 관계 기관에 조사를 의뢰했다.
중국 헤이룽장성에서는 2012년에도 UFO가 잇따라 촬영돼 언론에 공개됐다.
그해 7월에는 헤이룽장성의 산림 지역인 펑황(鳳凰)산에서 관광객이 산 위에 밝은 빛을 내는 타원형 물체가 떠 있는 장면을 사진으로 찍어 관계 당국에 신고했다.
이어 8월에는 헤이룽장성 하얼빈(哈爾濱)시 시민이 시내 쑹화장 강변에서 3개의 밝은 빛을 내는 비행체가 이동하는 발견하고 휴대전화 카메라로 동영상을 촬영했다.
한편 중국의 우주프로젝트를 담당하는 국가항천국(航天局)은 이에 앞서 지난 16일 헤이룽장성 치치하얼(齊齊哈爾)시 일대에 추락한 정체불명의 비행물체 5개가 위성이나 운반로켓의 잔해인 것으로 분석됐다고 밝혔다.
중국 언론들은 해당 비행물체들이 추락 당일 러시아가 통신위성을 우주궤도에 올리기 위해 발사한 로켓이 엔진 고장으로 추락한 사고와 관련이 있는 것으로 보고 있다. (연합)

Villagers in Heilongjiang province, China, reported Friday that three UFOs fell from the sky on Friday morning, according to China News Service.
“I saw a huge ball of fire, I thought it was a meteorite,” one villager said, according to Chinatopix.com. “I hid inside my house and waited until the object ... landed,” Huffington Post quoted a resident as saying.
The circular, metallic objects crashed into a vegetable garden owned by one of the residents, according to the witnesses.
China News Service further described the ball-shaped objects as silver-gray, “surrounded by jagged edges and burn marks.” The unidentified objects are reported to be “about two-and-a-half-feet wide and weighing nearly 90 pounds,” according to OpenMinds.TV.
Ecns.cn, the official English-language website of China News Service, suggested that the unidentified objects might be unburnt portions of the Russian Proton-M rocket which experienced engine failure and burned up in the Earth’s atmosphere the same morning.
An investigation is underway in China.
