박근혜 인수위 인선, 이번주 내 발표

박근혜 대통령 당선인의 대통령직인수위원회 인선이 이번 주 내에 발표될 것으로 보인다.

윤창중 인수위 수석대변인은 2일 여의도 당사 기자회견에서 “인수위원 임명은 필요한 절차를 밟기 위해 시간이 조금 더 걸릴 것 같다” 나머지 위원들이 “늦어도 2~3일 내에 발표할 것으로 알고 있다”라고 밝혔다.

이날 박 당선인은 삼성동 자택에서 새 정부의 조직과 정책의 윤곽을 그릴 인수위의 인선에 대해 고심한 것으로 알려졌다. 박 당선인은 이달 말까지 정부부처조직을 조정을 마치고 국회의 승인을 받아야 한다.

박 당선인은 해양수산부를 부활시키고, 미래과학부를 신설할 계획인 것으로 알려졌다.

박 당선인의 취임식은 2월 25일로 예정되어 있으며, 차기 정부의 국무총리 임명자는 2월 10일, 내각의 나머지 일원들은 2월 20일 국회 청문회를 받도록 되어 있다.

박 당선인은 최근 ‘막말’로 논란이 되었던 윤창중 수석 대변인의 임명 등으로 논란에 휩싸인 바 있었다.

그러나 지난 1일 2013년 예산안이 통과된 것은 박 당선인에 있어서 희소식인데, 이로서 박 당선인의 주요 공약인 5세 이하 무상보육, 반값등록금, 사병 월급 인상 등 복지 정책을 실천하는데 청신호가 들어왔다.

당 관계자들은 인수위가 본격적으로 출범되고 나면 새누리당 지도부와 임시 당정협의체를 형성해 차기 정부 출범을 준비할 예정이라고 밝혔다.

Transition team to be launched this week at the earliest

President-elect Park Geun-hye’s transition team could be launched within this week with the personnel line-up taking shape, sources said Wednesday.

"The list of the remaining members of the committee will be released within the next two to three days at the latest," said Yoon Chang-jung, spokesman for the transition team.

On Wednesday, Park remained at her residence in Samseong-dong, southern Seoul, going over her choices for the team that will be in charge of designing the new government’s organization and policy priorities.

The president-elect has a busy schedule ahead as any changes to the government organizations must be approved by the National Assembly by the end of this month, while her prime minister must undergo a hearing by Feb. 10 and other members of the Cabinet by Feb. 20. The inauguration of her administration is slated for Feb. 25.

Her personnel decisions were seen to suffer a setback following controversies of some of her earlier choices, including senior spokesman Yoon Chang-jung and two members of the special committee on youth. Yoon is accused of being unfit for the job due to his heavily partisan comments as a commentator, while the other two have been involved in irregularities in the past.

Park, however, saw a smoother start as far as her policy plans go, with the passage of various budgets on Jan. 1 allocated for her welfare projects including free child care for kids aged 5 and under, college tuition subsidies, a salary increase for soldiers, and support for heavily indebted homeowners.

Once the transition team is mobilized, it could open a consultative channel with the Saenuri Party leadership for cooperation ahead of the official government launch, the party sources said.

Park plans to revive the Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Ministry and install the Future Creative Science Ministry. Her intention to detach the transition committee members from those to join the first Cabinet is expected to cost the president-elect more time in filling up the new administration.
