BMW launches all-new X3 in S. Korea

BMW Korea has unveiled new X3 (Yonhap News)

BMW Korea, the South Korean unit of German automaker BMW Group, on Thursday introduced the latest version of the BMW X3 in South Korea.

BMW Korea said the New X3 is a "sport activity vehicle" that offers the comfort and driving experience of a sedan, but is perfect for off-road use.

"The New X3 comes with a new, refined design and performance that are suitable for a second-generation car as it continues to maintain the unique agility, safety and comfort of a BMW vehicle while also demonstrating its off-road capabilities," the company said.

The vehicle comes with a V4, 2.0-liter turbo diesel engine that produces maximum horsepower of 184 and maximum torque of 38.8 kilogram-meters.

Still, the vehicle's all-new eight-speed automatic transmission enables high fuel efficiency of 17.2 kilometers per liter, according to BMW Korea.

The local price of the New X3 has been set at 59.9 million won (US$53,670), inclusive of value-added tax. (Yonhap News)

엔진을 장착해 최고출력 184마력을 발휘한다.

특히, 8단 자동변속기와 함께 오토매틱 차량에 처음 적용된 오토 스타트-스톱 기능이 장착돼 잠시 정차하면 엔진이 자동으로 꺼지고, 브레이크 페달에서 발을 떼면 엔진이 다시 정상적으로 작동된다.

출시된 모델은 2.0ℓ디젤엔진이 장착된 뉴 X3 xDrive20d이며, X3 xDrive30d는 올 하반기에 도입된다.

표준연비는 17.2km/ℓ이며, 사륜구동 시스템인 BMW xDrive를 장착해 앞뒤 구동력을 도로상황에 따라 가변적으로 배분 전달한다.

CD/DVD 체인저와 6개의 스피커가 장착된 고급 오디오, 하드 디스크 저장장치를 갖춘 한글 내비게이션 등이 기본 장착된다.

가격은 부가세 포함 5천990만원이다. (연합뉴스)
