New Zealand Food Connection 2012 will be held Feb. 28 at Paradise Hotel in Busan hosted by New Zealand Trade and Enterprise.
Held twice a year, once in Seoul and once in Busan, the event aims to showcase a wide range of premium New Zealand food and beverages to Korean food industry professionals, including hotels, restaurants, distributors and retailers, and to promote cooperation between the New Zealand and Korean food and beverage industries,.
“Busan is a very attractive market, well-known for tourism, one that is ideal for New Zealand food and beverage industry groups,” said Graeme Solloway, trade commissioner of New Zealand Trade and Enterprise.
At this third event held in Busan, representatives from New Zealand food and beverage companies, including Beef and Lamb New Zealand and Zespri, will display their products such as meat, fruit, honey, organic juice and liquor, as well as conduct cooking demonstrations using their ingredients.
“Since a number of New Zealand (food and beverage) companies successfully found partners in Busan through the previous two events, we’ve already seen a higher level of interest from Busan-based food service industry professionals. As a result, NZTE has devoted itself to ensure an even more worthwhile event and has selected participating New Zealand companies using strict standards,” he said.
In addition, New Zealand Food Connection is organized to offer opportunities to experience the flavor and taste of New Zealand. Solloway will also be on hand to personally communicate with attendees.
