[THE INVESTOR] Nexon GT said on July 29 that it has decided to withdraw its “Sudden Attack 2” game by Sept. 29.

The decision came just 23 days after the game was introduced, and comes amid controversy over its alleged exploitation of the female sexuality. 




Nexon GT deleted some of the characters, but was unable to quench the criticism, which further mounted on a scandal involving Nexon founder Kim Jung-ju and his friend and prosecutor Jin Kyung-joon who was arrested and indicted today.

Nexon GT had previously signed a contract with Nexon Korea to jointly run the game. Nexon GT will be eligible to reclaim a down payment of 10 billion won (US$8.86 million) and a minimum contract guarantee worth 1.17 billion won.

“Sudden Attack 2” took four years to create, and it succeeded the popular “Sudden Attack” original game that at one time was the No.1 game at local PC rooms for 106 consecutive weeks.
