Samsung Network Services & Solutions, a Korean network systems developer, plans to hire interns by June this year.

The company said in a press release on Tuesday that its five divisions including telecom networks, overseas sales and marketing and human resources will accept applicants until May 24 via its homepage.

University students in their junior or senior years, or those expected to graduate in February 2014, can apply for Samsung SNS’ internship programs headed by the five divisions. Graduate students from two-year colleges are also eligible to submit their applications to the company.

The company, however, noted that its telecom network division will only accept applicants from students expected to graduate in February next year with technical degrees.

Potential applicants with fluency in foreign languages and degrees from overseas universities are preferred.

The programs will run from July until August, offering mentorships, in-house education and practical, on-field experience, Samsung SNS said.

A company official said that they will be given an opportunity for a full-time position after successfully fulfilling their internships.

Samsung SNS is 45.8 percent owned by Lee Jay-yong, president and chief operating officer of Samsung Electronics. Samsung Electronics, Korea’s tech manufacturing giant, holds a 35.5 percent stake in Samsung SNS, while the rest of the shares are owned by minority investors. It had 21.3 billion won ($18.4 million) in operating profit at the end of 2011, with sales of some 500 billion won, according to an audit filing.
