The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization said they are recruiting international tourism interns to provide experience and reduce unemployment for young Koreans.
A total of 36 interns will be placed at foreign tourism companies such as hotels or travel agencies in Singapore, Australia, and the United States for six months.
In addition to a salary, the interns will receive free training in Korea. Their insurance, part of their airfare and living expenses set by a minimum cost of living will be also covered by the government.
There will be a two rounds to the recruitment process: review of applications and interviews. Final selection will be announced on April 29.
Applicants can download application form at the internship website at http://globalintern.visitkorea.or.kr and e-mail the application and cover letter to globalintern@knto.or.kr by April 18.
