Lee Dae-ho of the Seattle Mariners broke out of his mini slump with a big day at the plate.

The South Korean slugger went 2-for-3 with three RBIs and a run scored, as the Mariners beat the Tampa Bay Rays 6-4 Thursday (local time) at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Lee had struck out six times in his previous seven at-bats prior to this game.

Batting fifth and playing first base, Lee knocked in Seattle's first run of the game in the top first with a single to center. It opened a three-run frame for the visitors.

Then with the Mariners nursing a 3-2 lead in the top fourth, Lee lined a two-out, bases-loaded double to deep right, giving his club more breathing room.

It was Lee's first double of the season in his 113th at-bat.

After driving in at least three runs in a game for the seventh time this season, Lee now has 27 RBIs overall, along with 10 home runs and a .298/.339/.570 line in 114 at-bats.

In the ninth, Lee was lifted for pinch hitter Adam Lind, his platoon partner who is batting .235/.271/.404 with eight homers and 26 RBIs in 166 at-bats. (Yonhap)
