According to the company, the motorcycle unit of BMW sold a total of 1,328 units in Korea last year, a 20 percent rise from a year ago.
BMW Motorrad was also the first to see more than 1,000 unit sales in the nation’s 500cc or larger motorcycle market in 2012.
BMW Korea CEO Kim Hyo-joon attributed the stunning performance to the Korean unit’s aggressive marketing activities to build up the riding culture in recent years.
“We will continue to communicate with customers by creating a safe and fun motorcycle culture here,” he said in a statement.
