Singer Psy plans to release his U.S. debut album this summer.

He revealed his plans for the new album release on Saturday during an appearance on the “Ask Anything” segment of “Saturday Night Online Live with Romeo.”

“After promoting ‘Gentleman’ I’m about to make an album, so it’s going to be my seventh album in Korea and it’s going to be my debut album in the United States and I’m going to do a lot of collabo(rations) in the album,” said Psy. “Hopefully I can release that during the summer season.”

Psy’s fans got to know a little more about the rapper on a personal level during the video segment of the online radio program in which Psy answered questions that had been sent in by his fans. One fan asked the rapper who he most wanted to do a collaboration with in the future.

About the best part of being an artist, Psy said, “After ‘Gangnam Style’ I had so many unrealistic chances such as dancing with Britney Spears, MC Hammer, Madonna, had a meeting with the U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon ... (I’m) really happy to be an artist these days.”

Despite the tremendous global success the Korean star received after “Gangnam Style” went viral, Psy admitted that of all his songs, his all-time favorite is the Korean track “It’s an Art” from his fifth album. He explained that the reason he prefers that song is because “It’s not a Psy-like song” and has more emotional lyrics.

Psy is continuing his promotion of his latest single “Gentleman” in the U.S. and is scheduled to give a special lecture at Harvard University in Cambridge on Thursday as part of the “Learning from Performers” program in a session titled, “A conversation with Psy,” where the audience will be able to get the real life scoop from the entertainer himself.

The “Gentleman” music video, which was uploaded onto YouTube around three weeks ago, is already on its way to reaching the 300 million-view marker. As of Monday afternoon, the video had surpassed 288 million hits.
