A Florida cigar dealer said he sold a nearly 19-foot long Gran Habano #5 El Gigante cigar for $185,000.

Juan Panesso, who runs CigarsDirect.com in Westchase, said he located the El Gigante for an unidentified buyer who was seeking a number of rare varieties of cigar for his private collection and he was able to get the buyer a discount from the usual $200,000 price tag for an El Gigante, The Tampa (Fla.) Tribune reported Monday.

Panesso said the cigar, which he had shipped out of the country to the unidentified buyer, comes with its own 900-pound wooden carrying case. He said the stogie measures nearly 19 feet long and is more than 3 feet thick.

The dealer said the 1,600-pound cigar contains enough tobacco to make 25,000 average-sized cigars.

“We pride ourselves on finding the hard-to-find cigars,” he said. “This shows we are able to fill all our orders.” (UPI)

2억원짜리 담배 등장!

주안 파네소(Juan Panesso)는 여러가지 희귀한 담배를 사 모으는 익명의 구입자가 담배를 2억 1천7백만원(20만 달러)에서 할인된 가격인 2억 1백만원(185,000달러)에 사 갔다고 전했다. 파네소는 웨스트체이스에서 시가스디렉트닷컴(CigarsDirect.com)를 운영한다.

담배는 국외로 운반되었으며 400kg(900파운드)의 나무상자에 포장이 되었다. 길이 5.8미터에 두께는 1미터 가량이었다.

담배 무게는 725kg(1,600파운드)에 달하며 25,000개의 보통 사이즈 담배를 만들 수 있을 만큼의 담배 성분이 들었다.

"우리는 특이한 담배들을 만드는 데 아주 자부심을 가지고 있습니다. 어떤 주문이든 받아서 만들 수 있어요."라고 파네소가 말했다. (코리아헤럴드)
