Foreign tourists can enjoy up to 50 percent off on a variety of shows in Korea, including concerts, musicals, dance performances and plays during their stay.

The Korea In Motion Festival, organized by the Korea Tourism Organization, is offering 20 percent to 50 percent discounts on tickets until Oct. 5. 

Popular nonverbal dance performances including “Nanta,” “Jump” and “Bibap” are participating in the festival, and tickets can be booked online or at ticket booths in Seoul. The dance troupe of “Bibap” will be performing on a temporary outdoor stage in front of Myeongdong Theater twice daily ― at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on weekdays, except for Friday, and at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on weekends ― during the festival period.

Other participating shows include the musicals “Ppal-Lae (Laundry),” “Wharang” and “Superman Incubating the Moon”; the classical concert “Credia Part Concert”; and the Korean traditional music concert “2014 Saturday Performance.”

Ticket booths can be found at seven locations in Seoul, including the Korea Tourism Organization headquarters, Myeongdong Theater and Gangnam Tourism Information Center. Tourists can also buy discounted tickets at www.kperformance.org, though not all tickets are available online.

Package deals help tourists save on admission tickets to popular attractions in Seoul. The packages paired with show tickets grant tourists discounts on admission to popular city attractions such as N Seoul Tower, Hongdae Club Lounge, Dragon-Hill Spa, Kitty Cafe and Alive Museum. The ticket package, which includes entry tickets to N Seoul Tower and Dragon-Hill Spa along with a performance, is being sold for 30,000 won ― less than half price.
