China’s Neusoft chair seeks partnership with Korean EV battery makers

[THE INVESTOR] Neusoft Corp. chairman Liu Jiren is seeking partnerships with Korean battery makers as it renews commitment to the futuristic electric vehicle battery business as its growth engine.
“We are looking at the EV battery business as one of our new growth engine businesses,” he said in a recent interview with local paper on June 28.

He hinted the company could seek partnership with Korean battery makers such as Samsung SDI and LG Chem, the leading players in the nascent but lucrative EV market.
“If we combine our strengths well, it could become a win-win both for Korean companies and Neusoft,” he said. “I think the EV battery business has full potential as our next growth engine.”
Neusoft, based in Shenyang, China, is the nation’s largest IT solutions provider. Its business portfolio ranges from software and product engineering services to IT education and medical equipment.
