An attorney for Park Yoo-chun, the embattled member of boy band JYJ, called on the police Wednesday to make known the details of the charges raised against the singer-actor who has been accused or raping several women.

The lawyer said the police should provide information made by the three alleged victims who claimed they were raped by Park.

Getting information about the charges raised can better help an attorney to prepare for a case in which it is important to prove innocence.

While the police usually provide the background of cases verbally or through written texts, legal observers said Park's request apparently comes because he aims to counter-sue. So far, four women have claimed to have been sexually assaulted by Park.

The first case dates back to 2014, with the latest one allegedly taking place this month.

In response to the charges made, Park on Monday lodged a formal false accusation complaint against the first woman who alleged she was raped by him. His agency currently claims that the first woman accused the singer of rape to extort money. She has since dropped the charges.

Police formed a special task force made up of 12 police officers to investigate the details of the incidents. Park is currently serving his military duty as a public agent at a local district office in Seoul. (Yonhap)
