General Motors unveiled its all-new Chevrolet Spark minicar to the world for the first time on Thursday at the media preview for the 2015 Seoul Motor Show.

The newly revamped minicar by Chevrolet features an upgraded design scheme, including a slick exterior changed to optimize the vehicle’s aerodynamics.

Given that the Chevrolet Spark has been GM Korea’s longtime bestseller, taking up over 40 percent of the company’s total sales in 2014, the automaker is expecting a positive response to its upgraded model.

Alongside the Chevrolet Spark, the U.S. carmaker unveiled the 2015 Cruz, a compact car known for its high fuel efficiency and performance. The upgraded Cruz has been redesigned to fit Chevrolet’s new “wide and low” concept and improved in-vehicle features.

GM Korea also will showcase a full lineup of Chevrolet’s signature vehicles including the subcompact automobile Aveo, the mid-sized Malibu and SUVs including the Trax, Orlando and Captiva.

The automaker said it plans to host a variety of events to better promote its Chevrolet brand at the local motor show.

Benchmarking a previous design concept featured at the 2015 Detroit Motor Show, the Chevrolet booth will be decorated with gold bowties and arrange to resemble a fashion runway in a move to establish a stronger brand identity, according to GM Korea.

On Saturday, Korean soccer star Park Ji-sung will attend a promotional event at the booth and hold a signing event for fans. GM Korea’s racing models will also offer one-on-one guided tours of the cars twice every day throughout the motor show.
