Clooney to discuss recovery from malaria on CNN

LOS ANGELES (AP) _ George Clooney has recovered from the malaria he contracted earlier this month during a visit to Sudan.

Publicist Stan Rosenfield says it was the actor's second bout with the disease.

Clooney is set to discuss the condition and his work in Africa on Piers Morgan's CNN show Friday.

The actor says his own experience with the disease shows how proper medication can turn ``the most lethal condition in Africa'' into ``a bad 10 days instead of a death sentence.''

래리 킹으로 부터 CNN 토크쇼 바통을 넘겨받은 모건은 21일 '피어스 모건 투나잇' 프로에서 클루니와 인터뷰하면서 말리리아에 걸린 것도 언급할 것으로 예상된다.

꾸준히 사회활동을 해 온 클루니는 작년 12월 위성시스템 설치를 지원하기 위해 수단을 방문하는 등 그동안 정기적으로 수단을 찾았으며 새해 들어서는 수단 남부의 분리독립 투표 참관 활동의 일환으로 현지를 방문했다. (연합뉴스)
