Just 3 years old, Lu Hao already weighs 60 kg and is five times larger than the size of the average child his age.

When Hao was born in a Chinese hospital, he weighed only 2.5 kg, a normal size for a newborn. However, after three months, Hao began to gain weight rapidly.

“His appetite is so good that for a meal he can eat three big bowls of rice, even larger than I and his mother,” Hao’s father Lu Yuncheng told the Daily Mail.

Furthermore, Hao does not yet enjoy any kind of sport.

To increase Hao’s exercise, the family installed a basketball hoop in the yard and often takes him to a local river for a swim. Unfortunately, the exercise only makes Hao hungrier.

Unable to control the child’s appetite, Hao managed to put on 10 kg in the past year and his mother, Chen Yuan, said she can no longer pick her son up.

“We have to let him be as if we don’t feed him he will cry non-stop,” said Yuan.

“Doctors said his hormones are at a normal level. It’s hard to know why he could be so big.

“We now worry the most about his health. As if he continues to grow at this rate his heart could fail,” said Yuan.

루하우의 아버지인 루원청은 “아기가 한 끼에 밥을 세 공기나 먹는데 나와 부인보다 훨씬 많이 먹는다”라고 말했다.

또한 루하우의 어머니인 천유엔은 자기 아들이 너무나도 무겁기에 그를 더 이상 들을 수도 없다고 말했다.

“루하우는 밥을 주지 않으면 하루 종일 운다. 그래서 어떻게 할 방법이 없다. 의사들은 아이의 호르몬 수치는 정상이라고 했으며 왜 이렇게 살이 찌는지는 정말 모르겠다 라고 말했다. 아들의 건강상태가 가장걱정이다. 계속 이렇게 살이 찌다간 심장에 문제가 발생 할 수도 있다,”라고 천유엔이 말했다.
