Police said Sunday they have requested an arrest warrant for a Japanese man on a sightseeing visit to South Korea's southern Jeju Island on charges of sexually harassing two Korean women at an airport restaurant.

   The 67-year-old Japanese man is accused of touching the hips of two female employees in their 40s at a Jeju International Airport restaurant on Friday morning, police said.

   The man was detained before leaving for Fukuoka later Friday, as his crimes were confirmed by a surveillance camera, police said. (Yonhap)

일본男, 한국여성 2명 성추행...'충격'


제주서부경찰서는 제주국제공항 내 음식점에서 여성 종업원 2명을 성추행한 혐의(강제추행)로 일본인 A(67)씨에 대해 구속영장을 신청했다고 15일 밝혔다.

    경찰에 따르면 A씨는 13일 오전 9시17분께 제주국제공항 여객청사의 한  음식점에서 음식을 나르던 40대 여종업원 2명의 엉덩이를 손으로 더듬은 혐의를 받고 있다 .

    경찰은 식당 내 폐쇄회로(CC)TV를 통해 범행 사실을 확인하고, 당일 오전  11시께 일본 후쿠오카로 출국하려던 A씨를 붙잡았다.
