Applications are open for the next semester of Korean classes run by the Busan Foundation for International Activities.

The course, which uses Yonsei University textbooks, runs from Aug. 16 to Oct. 14.

Five levels of tuition are available. Classes are twice a week, with daytime and evening timeslots. The exact schedule varies depending on the level.

Students have to buy their own textbooks but tuition is free. There is, however, a 10,000 won deposit which is returned if you have attendance of 70 percent or more.

Registration closes on Thursday. To sign up, visit www.busanlife.or.kr and click the BFIA Korean Classes button on the right hand of the screen, or phone 1577-7716.

Busan Global Center has also opened a support service for Korean learners.

Those who need help with conversation, book work or composition can visit the center between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. or 3:30-5:30 p.m. Call BGC on 668-7906 or 668-7900 to reserve a place in advance.
