Thousands of internet users are still clicking to see video footage of a monkey “waitress” in a human mask on YouTube.

Even now, a year after it was posted, this creepy footage seems to remain a massive hit as netizens frequently post fresh comments under the video of the monkey “serving” in a restaurant.

In the video clip, a monkey named Fukuchan is seen running around and entertaining customers at a restaurant in Utsunomiya, Japan.

The video footage, which has been viewed more than 340,000 times, is not without controversy.

“This is the creepiest thing I’ve ever seen,” commented one viewer.

Others criticize the restaurant for animal cruelty.

“I will be having nightmares about this thing chasing me tonight,” said another viewer.

Another YouTube user suggests that the monkey in the video resembled a puppet featured in the horror film “Saw.”
