The hotel’s Chinese restaurant Taoyuen invites Seoul’s epicureans to its “Green Mud Crab Special” promotion until Oct. 31. Green Mud Crabs are caught in areas where the water temperature is kept above 13 degrees Celsius. Because they can only be caught during the months of September and October, they are often called the “1 percent crab.” Taoyuen’s special course set includes seven dishes with green mud crab as the main dish. Other dishes include cordyceps mushroom and abalone soup, sharks’ fin and nappa cabbage, green mud crab with Sichuan-style sauce, stir-fried sea cucumbers, red clam, Chinese black moss and romaine, gizzard shad and pork wonton with pine mushroom sauce and a choice between jjajangmyeon, jjamppong or fried rice as well as chef’s special dessert. The set menu is priced at 160,000 won, excluding tax and service charge. For more information, call Taoyuen at (02) 310-7300.
