Lonnie Chisenhall and Casey Kotchman each provided three RBI Monday in the Cleveland Indians' 10-9 interleague slugfest win over Cincinnati.

Chisenhall and Kotchman each belted a two-run homer and both delivered run-scoring hits in the decisive sixth inning, when the Indians grabbed a 9-7 lead off Sam LeCure (2-2).

Shin-Soo Choo added a solo shot and an RBI double for the Indians, who banged out 13 hits en route to a victory in the opener of their three-game Ohio rivalry series against the Reds.

Joe Smith (5-1) earned the victory, holding Cincinnati to one run over 1 2/3 innings in relief of starter Derek Lowe, and Chris Perez nailed down the victory with his MLB-best 22nd save.

Reds starter Mat Latos was pounded for seven runs on eight hits over four full frames.

Jay Bruce went 3-for-4 with a homer and two RBI while Brandon Phillips added three hits, including an RBI double, and scored three times for National League Central-leading Cincinnati, which has a six-game winning streak snapped. (UPI)

추신수 또 쾅! 팀 연패 탈출

추신수(30•클리블랜드 인디언스)가 이틀 연속 장타를 휘두르며 타격감을 끌어올렸다.

추신수는 19일 미국 클리블랜드 프로그레시브필드에서 계속된 신시내티 레즈와의 인터리그에서 홈런과 2루타를 터뜨리며 5타수 2안타, 2타점을 기록했다.

시즌 6호 홈런을 기록한 추신수는 타율도 0.265로 올라갔다.

추신수의 방망이는 첫 타석부터 폭발했다.

클리블랜드가 0-1로 뒤진 1회말 선두타자로 나선 추신수는 신시내티 선발 맷 라 토스의 2구째 153㎞짜리 직구를 걷어올려 우측 펜스를 훌쩍 넘겼다.

2회에는 1루수 땅볼로 물러났으나 4회말 다시 장타가 터졌다.

추신수는 6-5로 앞선 2사 3루에서 좌측 펜스 상단을 맞고 떨어지는 2루타를 날려 타점을 추가했다.'

6회는 1루수 땅볼로 아웃됐고 8회말에는 좌익수 뜬공으로 잡혔다.

클리블랜드는 난타전 끝에 10-9로 승리해 2연패에서 벗어났다.
