Everything about My Wife (Korea)

Opening May 17

Drama. Comedy. Directed by Min Kyu-dong. Doo-hyeon (Lee Sun-kyun) is unhappily married to Jeong-in (Im Soo-jung), his beautiful yet ill-tempered wife. After enduring Jeong-in’s unpredictable and eccentric behavior, Doo-hyun desperately seeks ways to divorce her. The timid husband is too afraid to bring up the topic of separation to his bad-tempered wife. Instead, he decides to hire a womanizer to romance her -- hoping she will ask for a divorce once she falls in love with the man.


Spring Snow (Korea)

Opening

Drama. Directed by Kim Tae-gyun. Middle-aged woman Soon-ok (Yoon Seok-hwa) is a devoted mother and a dutiful wife. While Soon-ok’s children and husband do not appreciate her and what has been given to them, she continues to do her best in providing the care. One day, Soon-ok is diagnosed with a fatal disease, and is told by her doctor that she only has months to live. She calmly accepts her condition and prepares to say goodbye. Upon hearing the news, however, the rest of her family members are completely devastated.

Eungyo (Korea)

Opening April 26.

Drama. Directed by Jung Ji-woo. Lee Jeok-yo (Park Hae-il) is a celebrated poet in his 70s, considered one of the most respected literary figures in the country. He one day receives a visit from a 17-year-old girl named Eun-gyo (Kim Go-eun). He finds himself falling for the teenager, while his young student Seo Ji-woo (Kim Moo-yeol) is evidently attracted to the young woman as well. Upon realizing his love for Eungyo, the old poet goes through emotional turmoil and self-destruction, willing to give up his fame. 


Titanic 3-D (U.S.) 

Opening April 5

Drama. Directed by James Cameron. James Cameron’s 1997 legendary disaster film “Titanic” is returning to the silver screen in 3-D. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet, the movie is a fictionalized cinematic account of the Titanic, a passenger ship that sank in the North Atlantic Ocean during its maiden voyage in 1912. The Titanic disaster, which took place after the ship hit an iceberg en route to New York City from Southampton, killed more than 1,500 people. The 1997 film pivoted around the romance between a young, penniless artist from Wisconsin (DiCaprio) who happened to be on the ship, and an unhappy, upper-class young woman (Winslet) who is forced into an engagement to save her debt-ridden family. The film won 11 Academy Awards.

Architecture 101 (Korea) 

Opened March 22

Drama. Directed by Lee Yong-joo. Seung-min (Kim Soo-hyeon and Uhm Tae-woong), a 20-year-old university student, meets Seo-yeon (Suji and Han Ga-in) while attending his introduction to architecture class. Though he falls for his female colleague, Seung-min does not know how to express his feelings, and ends up not talking to her due to a trivial misunderstanding. Fifteen years later, Seung-min, who now works as an architect, receives a sudden visit from Seo-yeon. She asks if he can design and build a house for her and Seung-min accepts.
