Yeoksam Global Village Center is putting on a class to show expats how to make traditional clothing for newborn babies.
The clothing, called “baenet jeogori,” is one of many handicrafts made by women during the Joseon Dynasty.
In the past, many items used in daily life in Korea were made using patchwork stitching methods. Nowadays, this kind of craftwork is mainly used for decorative purposes.
To reserve a place, email yeoksam@sba.seoul.kr with your name, nationality and phone number. The classes will be at the Yeoksam GVC near Gangnam Station, and cost 5,000 won.
