Rape allegations against hallyu actor Park Si-hoo took a new turn Friday as police sent the alleged rape victim’s blood sample for a drug test.

The move is interpreted as a sign that police are searching for possible traces of drugs in the woman who claimed to have been raped by Park last Friday.

The Seoul Seobu Police Station sent the woman’s hair, urine and blood samples to the National Forensic Service to see if she had been drugged or was simply drunk at the time of the incident.

Last Friday, the woman formally accused Park of raping her after they drank together at a bar in Cheongdam-dong, Seoul. She claimed that Park raped her after she passed out.

Some local media speculated that police are testing the woman’s samples on suspicion that Park drugged her, while others point out fuzzy, conflicting details about what really happened that day.

The police said the test request was merely a routine procedure for rape cases, and urged the media not to read too much into it.

In a public statement issued on Tuesday, Park denied the allegation that he forcibly had sex with her. Instead, he said that they shared feelings and an attraction for each other.

Police said Park had been summoned for questioning on Feb. 24.

The 36-year-old actor is a late-bloomer who recently rose to stardom after appearing in hit TV dramas, such as “Iljimae” and “The Princess’ Man.” Park made his acting debut on the silver screen in “Confession of Murder” last year.

‘성폭행 혐의’ 박시후, 24일 오후 경찰 출석

성폭행 혐의로 피소된 탤런트 박시후가 24일 오 후 7시 서울 서부경찰서에 출석해 조사를 받는다.

22일 경찰에 따르면 박시후 측 변호인은 경찰과 협의를 거쳐 애초 24일 오전 10 시였던 소환일정을 같은 날 오후 7시로 변경했다.

경찰 관계자는 "박시후 측에서 24일 오후 7시에 출석해 조사를 받겠다는 의사를 전달했다"면서 "일정을 변경한 이유에 대해 별다른 설명은 없었다"고 전했다.

박씨는 지난 15일 오전 2시께 동료 연예인의 소개로 만난 연예인 지망생 A(22)씨를 성폭행한 혐의를 받고 있다.

A씨는 술에 취한 상태에서 박씨에게 성폭행을 당했다며 경찰에 고소한 것으로 알려졌다.

경찰은 사건 직후 고소인의 머리카락, 혈액 등을 채취해 국립과학수사연구원에 분석을 의뢰했으며 사건 당일 이들이 찍힌 술집, 주차장 등의 CCTV를 확보해 조사하고 있다.

박씨 측은 "함께 술자리를 갖는 과정에서 서로 호감을 느끼고 마음을 나눈 것이며 팬들이 우려하는 위력 행사는 없었다"며 성폭행 혐의를 부인했다. (연합뉴스)
