개그맨 이혁재(40)가 공공건물의 임대료를 내지 않고 사용한 사실이 밝혀져 물의를 빚고 있다.
한 매체는 이씨가 설립한 이벤트 대행회사 ㈜ 에이치에이치컴퍼니가 정보산업진흥원이 위탁 관리하는 '문화컨텐츠산업지원센터'로부터 강제 퇴거 명령을 받았으며, 은행대출금도 갚지 않아 신용보증기관이 5000여 만원을 대납한 사실도 확인됐다고 보도했다.
지난 2011년 6월 이곳에 입주했던 이혁재가 지난해 하반기부터 밀린 임대료 약 2900만원을 내지 않아 지난달 중순경 건물 위탁관리업체로부터 강제 퇴거 통보를 받았기 때문이다
이에 이씨는 한 언론사와의 인터뷰에서 그의 회사가 철거한 것은 사실이나 강제퇴거 당하지는 않았다며 억울함을 호소했다. 그는 관계자들에게 미납한 임대료를 갚겠다는 의지를 표명했으며 앞으로 방송활동을 통해 갚아나갈 예정이라고 해명했다.

Comedian Lee Hyuk-jae’s venture company allegedly has been forcefully evicted from a public building owned by Incheon city government for not paying rent, local media reported on Friday.
According to multiple media outlets, Lee left some 26 million won in rent unpaid for his event firm HH Company, located in the Cultural Content Industry Support Center building, since last year due to financial difficulties he faced while running the business.
“It is true that I withdrew the office because I couldn’t pay the rent,” Lee said in an interview with Maeil Business newspaper.
“But I already met with the officials related to the issue and told them that I am willing to resolve the problem. I will repay (the rent) as soon as I earn the money off the broadcasting work I’m doing.”
He also admitted that Incheon Credit Guarantee Foundation, affiliated with the Incheon City government, paid off his 50 million won debt as he was not able to repay the loan he borrowed to launch the firm in June 2011.
The 40-year-old comedian’s reputation has been tainted after he was embroiled in an assault case in 2010 and controversies over his reckless remarks.
