The malfunction could lead to the engine suddenly shutting off during driving, said the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
The problem has been detected in 66,169 Orlando SUVs produced between Dec. 23, 2010, and March 9, 2016.
GM Korea will announce a detailed repair schedule around June after securing the required components, the ministry added. (Yonhap)
