Hanwha Chemical said Monday it had named Paul Coleman chief executive officer for its bio business unit.
Coleman, from Ireland, has worked as the company’s chief operating officer at the unit since January 2011.
“He is the right person for the post as he has proved his capabilities and leadership as the unit’s COO, especially, in making a license contract for a drug for arthritis with the global pharmaceutical giant Merck last June,” the company said in a statement.
The chemical firm, one of Hanwha Group’s affiliates, plans to expand into the bio business by reorganizing its business portfolio and hiring more foreign executives.
