“Gangnam Style” star Psy has promoted Korea’s bid to host the secretariat of an international fund aimed at fighting climate change by appearing in its promotional video.

His viral song is used as the background music of the video, in which Psy showed his support for the country’s bid by shouting out, “With all my heart and wishes for inviting GCF here.” He did not charge to appear in the video.

Songdo, west of Seoul, is one of the six competitors vying for the coveted position. Competitors include Germany, Switzerland, Poland, Mexico and Namibia.

The Green Climate Fund was established in 2010 to help tackle global warming. GCF's board will make the selection at next month’s U.N. climate change meeting in Qatar.
