A number of K-pop celebrities are gearing for a comeback as the nation is slowly getting back on track following the trauma of the Sewol ferry sinking last month.

A new EP has been released almost every day since the local music industry started to defrost after the ferry disaster, music industry watchers said.

Starting with EXO’s comeback on May 7, the K-pop charts have been pumped with new songs.

Music programs, which voluntarily halted as a tribute to those who died aboard the ferry Sewol, are expected to resume by the fourth week of May.

KBS’ “Music Bank” and “Yoo Hee-yeol’s Sketchbook,” and SBS’ “Inkigayo” and others that will be platforms for new EP releases are on the road to normalcy.

Some experts say that the “comeback rush” may continue until the kickoff of the World Cup 2014 in Brazil next month as the international soccer tournament may change the path of trends.
