Gwangju International Center is hosting a monthly workshop on modern dance starting this Sunday.
At the workshop, Angie Hartley will teach basic dance skills before participants move into individual and small group work to create their own work based on a different theme each week.
Hartley said that she hoped students would be able to collaborate as a group in a performance, and that they had already been invited to perform at the Gwangju International Community Day event, hosted by the center in October.
The class starts at 5 p.m. on the second Sunday of each month and is free to attend. For those who want to know more, Hartley is giving a GIC talk on dance at 3 p.m. beforehand, where she will explain more about the workshops.
