A Barcelona man says he is selling his body fat for charity.

Oscar Rando is raising money by running and walking the full length of Spain -- 1,864 miles -- and having people donate per gram he loses, thinkSpain reported Sunday.

Sponsors are paying Rando 2.5 euros ($3.12) per gram of fat he loses. So far, he has raised 31,500 euros ($39,393) and has lost 63 pounds, or 28,576 grams.

Rando said he hopes to raise 75,000 euros ($93,795) by the end of the year for the El Prat-based charity Gats, which helps local disadvantaged people find jobs and provide for themselves. (UPI)

란도는 올해 말까지 9만3,795달러(1억 1천만원)를 목표로 체중감량을 할 것이라고 말했다.

기부금은 지역의 빈곤층이 일자리를 찾고 또 창출할 수 있도록 돕는데 쓰인다.
