Canadian bellydancer Eshe is organizing a bellydance festival in Seoul from June 15-17.
Asia Raqs International Bellydance Festival features two nights of performances and two days of dance workshops.
The performances by expat, Korean and Japanese bellydancers will take place in Hongdae at AAA from 10 p.m. on June 15 and Hodge Podge from 9 p.m. on June 16. Live music will be provided from Korean indie musicians Ninano Nanda, Ahreum Lee, and Gwangil Bae and Ken Matsuo.
Entrance to each show is 15,000 won.
There will be three two-hour workshops a day ― Khaleegy from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Orientale from 1-3 p.m. and fusion flamenco skirt work from 3-5 p.m. at Dream Dance Studio in Mangwon on June 16 and 17. Cost for the workshops is 60,000 for one, 100,000 won for two and 120,000 won for three.
