American fashion designer Jeremy Scott will design stage outfits for K-pop girl group 2NE1 for their concert tour starting in July in Seoul.

Scott is well-known for outrageous and unique designs that are favored by celebrities worldwide including Madonna, Rihanna, Kanye West, Beyonce and Lady Gaga.

He has been named No. 31 in The Face magazine’s “Most Important People in Fashion.”

According to YG, 2NE1’s agency, it is rare for a world-famous designer to create stage costumes for a K-pop female group and their dancers. 2NE1’s concert tour “New Evolution” will kick off on July 28 at Seoul Olympic Park Gymnastics Stadium.

Scott and 2NE1 have previously collaborated on shoes for the Adidas Original line and have shot a magazine covers together.

Scott is a fan of 2NE1, often tweeting news about 2NE1 and creates designs inspired by them.

2NE1 has also appeared in public events wearing outfits designed by the designer.

The group’s member CL and Scott also appeared on “Project Runway Korea 3” last year as guest judges in the episode where the contestants were given the mission to design a stage outfit for CL.

For the concert poster shooting, 2NE1 wore some pieces from Scott’s 2012 F/W collection. The members also appeared at the MTV Video Music Awards last week wearing Scott’s designs.
