Applications for Seoul Global Center’s Business Start-up School are open for submission until Sept. 10.

The free two-week evening course is aimed at expats looking to set up a small business in Korea.

The syllabus covers legal and tax issues, marketing, government policies and the Korean corporate system, as well as other aspects of doing business in Korea.

The course runs weekdays from Sept. 13-26, with classes from 7-9 p.m.

Applicants should submit a business plan with their application.

Admission to the course will be based on the viability of the candidate’s business plan, their access to funding, and the level of their expertise. Those who complete the course will get preferential treatment when applying for the center’s incubation offices in COEX and Yeouido.

A downloadable application form is available at global.seoul.go.kr.
