The Plaza ‘Beer & Fun Festival’

End your summer vacation with friends, family or colleagues at the Plaza’s “Beer and Fun Festival” on Aug. 21 and 22 featuring unlimited beer and a semi-buffet. Retro music will be played in the background and there will also be a lottery event. Customers will receive a glass of Kirin Frozen Nama beer with unlimited free refills. The buffet includes 17 of the chef’s special dishes including salads, pasta, smoked salmon and chicken BBQ among others. Kirin Frozen Nama, also called ice cream beer, has risen in popularity among the younger crowd and will be available for all visiting guests. Jizake Pairing Dinner at the Westin Chosun Seoul

The Westin Chosun Seoul presents a premium Jizake Pairing Dinner on Aug. 22. Jizake is a high-quality refined sake produced in microbreweries around Japan. This exclusive dinner will offer 17 kinds of specialty sake from areas in Hokkaido, Niigata and Oita paired with an assortment of delectable Japanese dishes buffet-style along with sashimi, tempura, yakitori and more. Some jizake featured in the dinner are Hokkaido’s Otokoyama Junmai Daiginjo, a gold medal winner at an international liquor competition for 35 consecutive years, and Jozen Mizuno Kotoshi which is made from water in the mountains of Niigata. Take your taste buds on an exotic Asian journey

Millennium Seoul Hilton’s Mediterranean all-day dining restaurant Cilantro will hold a promotion featuring exotic Asian specialties from Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and India throughout September. The restaurant is widening its selection of Asian dishes for adventurous diners. Some of the featured dishes include chili crab from Singapore, tom yam kung from Thailand and pata humba from the Philippines. The lunch buffet is priced at 65,500 won for adults and 39,300 won for children under 12. The dinner buffet is priced at 70,500 won for adults and 42,300 won for children. Healing package from Walkerhill Secret Garden

Sheraton Grande Walkerhill is offering an environmentally friendly program at Walkerhill Secret Garden from Sept. 1 to Nov. 26. The package includes two nights between Sunday and Tuesday in a room with a charcoal display aroma therapy. A room for one is priced at 519,000 and for two at 699,000 won. Sheraton Grande Walkerhill’s R&D center and culinary team will provide MSG-free organic meals as well as a cooking class. The program also includes a forest promenade, yoga practice and deep-water exercise. The meals will be based on seasonal ingredients and include Korean yellow bean paste, clam salad, organic muesli and more. Enjoy a night of BBQ and jazz music

Banyan Tree Club & Spa Seoul is presenting “Jazz in the City” on Aug. 30 and 31 and Sept. 6 and 7, where customers will be able to enjoy an outdoor barbecue buffet with live jazz music from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. A number of prominent performers will take the stage, including jazz artist Huh Jin-ho.
