Seoul Global Center will open applications this month for weekend Korean language courses that run from March 9 to July 7.
The course is free except for textbook costs, but a deposit of 30,000 won is required, refundable for those who attend at least 80 percent of classes.
Nine levels are available, from absolute beginner to intermediate and idiom classes. There are also preparation classes for the Test of Proficiency in Korean at beginner and intermediate levels.
The classes are twice a week in the mornings and early afternoons, with exact schedules depending on level.
To apply for the course, visit the center in person on March 2-3 between 10 a.m. and noon with a copy of your alien registration card and a passport photo.
TOPIK courses require an additional 40,000 won for the test fee.
Online or proxy applications are not accepted.
