Leading rock band YB returns with a national concert tour, "2024 YB Tour Lights: Infinity."
The legendary band kicks off its tour on March 9 at the Chunma Art Center of Yeungnam University in Gyeongsan, North Gyeongsang Province, for a two-day run. The band will visit 10 cities in total, also including Suwon, Ansan and Yongin in Gyeonggi Province, Changwon in South Gyeongsang Province, Busan, Jeonju in North Jeolla Province, Incheon, Wonju in Gangwon Province and Gwangju.
"Lights" is the name of YB's performance brand. This tour marks the third performance under this name. The first tour was held from late 2021 to early 2022, while the second was held from late 2022 to early 2023. The agency explained that the upcoming performance's subtitle "Infinity" symbolizes YB's limitless musical spectrum and willingness to challenge.
YB, which has long established itself as perhaps Korea's best-known rock band, was formed in 1995. Other members include those who performed together when leader Yoon Do-Hyun debuted in 1994.
After several personnel changes and recruitment, YB is currently performing as a group of five members: Yoon along with bassist Park Tae-hee, guitarist Heo Joon, drummer Kim Jin-won and British guitarist Scott Hellowell.
YB, whose position in the history of Korean rock music is indisputable, has participated in prestigious global music festivals such as South by Southwest in Texas. The band was also the first Korean act to perform on the Vans Warped Tour. YB is famous for critical and progressive songs as well as earnest messages for environmental protection.
