스텔라, 신곡 뮤직비디오로 또다시 선정성 도마

4인조 걸그룹 스텔라가 신곡 '떨려요'의 뮤직비디오로 선정성 논란을 이어갔다.

스텔라는 20일 새 싱글 '떨려요'(vibrato)를 발표하며 4개월 만에 컴백했다.

2011년 '로켓걸'로 데뷔한 스텔라는 작년 발표한 '마리오네트' 뮤직비디오에서 엉덩이 라인이 그대로 드러나는 노출 의상을 입고 선정적인 안무를 선보여 논란에 휩싸였다. 스텔라는 이번 싱글 재킷 사진에서도 옆트임이 과감하게 들어간 붉은색 원피스를 입어 선정성 논란을 재점화했다.

이날 오후 공개된 스텔라의 뮤직비디오는 '마리오네트'와 마찬가지로 19금(禁) 판정을 받아 온라인 사이트에서 성인 인증을 받아야만 볼 수 있다.

멤버들은 뮤직비디오에서 알몸으로 착각하게 하는 살구색 속옷을 입고 거울상자 안에서 선정적인 춤을 춘다. 카메라도 멤버들의 다리, 가슴, 엉덩이 등을 클로즈업한다.

'마리오네트'와 같이 가슴과 엉덩이를 강조하는 안무도 여전했다. 멤버들은 옆선이 트인 원피스 내 검은 속옷 바지를 입고 일명 '쩍벌댄스'를 춘다.

소속사 디엔터테인먼트파스칼은 "뇌리에 남는 강렬한 뮤직비디오를 완성하고자 했다"며 "정성 들여 만든 곡을 들어줬으면 하는 차원에서 뮤직비디오를 조금 늦게 공개했다"고 설명했다.

그러나 누리꾼들은 반응은 차가웠다. '마리오네트'에 비해 노출 수위는 낮아졌지만 여전히 도를 넘어섰다는 의견이 주를 이루고 있다. 'op***'라는 아이디를 쓰는 한 누리꾼은 "보기에 민망하다. 다음 뮤직비디오에서는 아예 벗고 나오겠다"는 글을 남겼고, 아이디 'go1*****'는 "치명적인 섹시함은 안 보이고, 속옷만 보인다"고 썼다. (연합)

Stellar stirs controversy with provocative music video again

K-pop girl band Stellar has stirred controversy once again with an R-rated music video.

The music video for the band’s latest single “Vibrato” received an R-rating for strong sexual content and nudity. As a result, viewers must verify their age with a Korean cell phone number before watching the video on YouTube.

It is not the first time the four-member band has been under fire for releasing a scandalous music video.

The music video for “Marionette” -- which was released in February last year -- also received an R-rating for revealing outfits and obscene dance moves. The band was criticized for using sex appeal for promotion.

In the three-minute music video, the members are dancing while wearing skin-toned underwear, creating the illusion of a bare body. The dance moves highlight the members’ legs, breasts and hips, with the camera continuously zooming into those areas.

“We wanted to create a strong music video that is memorable for the viewers,” said an official from the band’s label The Entertainment Pascal.

However, many netizens have responded with harsh criticism, saying the music video went overboard.

“It is embarrassing to watch,” said one netizen. “Maybe for the next music video they will appear bare.”

“Instead of looking sexy, all I see is their underwear,” said another netizen.

Stellar will kick off its promotional activities for the single “Vibrato” on Tuesday on cable channel SBS MTV’s “The Show.”
