Pennsylvania election officials Tuesday were forced to remove a voting machine that insisted a vote for President Obama was a vote for Mitt Romney.

A voter posted a video on YouTube showing the machine changing a vote for the president to a vote for his Republican challenger, The (Newark, N.J.) Star-Ledger reported. NBC News reported it confirmed the machine was taken out of service.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette said the machine was in Perry County. Department of State spokesman Ron Ruman said the machine was fixed and put back into service.

The 18-second video was posted by “centralpavoter.” It features a finger hitting the button for Obama several times and the machine registering the action as a vote for Romney.

“I asked the voters on either side of me if they had any problems and they reported they did not,” the poster said in the YouTube description. “I then called over a volunteer to have a look at it. She ... calmly said, ‘It’s nothing to worry about, everything will be OK‘ and went back to what she was doing. I then recorded this video." (UPI)

피츠버그포스트-가자트(Pittsburgh Post-Gazette)는 문제의 기계는 페리카운티(Perry County) 지역에 있었다고 전했다. 주 대변인 론 루만(Ron Ruman)은 기계가 수리 후 다시 사용되고 있다고 말했다.

18초짜리 비디오는 "centralpavoter"라는 ID가 게재했다. 비디오에는 오바마 후보를 여러 번 클릭하지만 롬니가 선택된다.

"투표자들에게 기계에 문제가 있냐고 물었어요. 문제 없다고들 답했고요."라고 동영상 게재자가 밝혔다. "그래서 자원봉사자를 불러서 보라고 말했죠. 봉사자는 차분하게, ’걱정할 거 없어요. 문제 없을 겁니다.’라고 말하고는 자리로 돌아갔어요. 그리고 저는 이 영상을 촬영했습니다." (코리아헤럴드)
