Cellist Yang Sung-won to head Music in Pyeongchang
Music in Pyeongchang, an annual music festival held in Pyeongchang, Gangwon Province, has appointed cellist Yang Sung-won as its fourth artistic director, festival organizer Gangwon Art and Culture Foundation announced Thursday. Performing arts boast strong ticket sales and revenue in 2022
Last year’s ticket sales for Korea’s performing arts scene not only returned to pre-pandemic levels but jumped 43 percent from 2019, according to data released by the Korea Performing Arts Box Office Information System Wednesday. Kim Han joins Paris Opera Orchestra as principal clarinetist

Bamberg Symphony to perform with pianist Kim Sun-wook
The Bamberg Symphony, a prestigious German orchestra led by rising Czech conductor Jakub Hrusa, will return to South Korea for the first time since 2017.
