일제 강제노동 피해자들의 억울함, 70년 후에도 여전해
대한민국이 일본의 식민지 지배로부터 벗어 난지도 70년에 가까워졌지만 당시 일본에 의해 강제로 징용되어 군복무나 노동을 해야 했던 피해자들의 보상 문제 해결은 아직도 요원하다.1910년 한일합병을 한 일본은 이후 한반도의 자원, 노동력을 착취하는 가 하면, 군사작전의 전초기지로 삼았다. 이러한 일제의 수탈은 1939년, 민간인을 군 관련 사업에 징발할 수 있게 하는 법을 국가총동원법에 포함시키며 절정에 달했다.이러한 강제 징용은 초기에는 철강 제작 및 비행기 제작 기술을 보유한 한국인들에게만 적용되었으나 태평양 전쟁이 진행되면서 인력 부족 문제가 심각해지자 일본 내각은 1944년 8월, 특별한 기술이 없는 한국인들조차 징발하는 법을 통과시켰다.이후로 수많은 한국인들이 노동자로 징집되어 일본과 중국, 동남아시아 등 일본이 지배하던 곳으로 보내졌다. 대일항쟁기피해조사 및 지원 위원회의 박인환 위원장은 “일부 학자들에 따르면 병사 및 후반 지원, 노동자로서 징집된 한국인의 수는 2백만에
