There will be an extended overnight train schedule in Sydney from midnight until Sunday as part of an ongoing industrial dispute about railway workers pay. The government capitulated to demands for 24-hour services to avoid a complete shutdown of the train network. Passengers are being told to expect reduced train services during the day and delays particularly in the mornings as light rail services are also reduced.
