Domestic and family violence has been making headlines again, with a particular focus on its impact on young children. Police in New South Wales are treating a house fire that killed three children in Western Sydney yesterday as a domestic homicide. This incident is prompting fresh calls to better protect children from domestic violence. It comes as Australia's National Research Organisation for Women's Safety (ANROWS) finds that nearly half of the children killed by a parent are younger than two years old. Dr. Tessa Boyd-Caine from ANROWS (Australia's National Research Organisation for Women's Safety) emphasizes that as the domestic violence crisis continues, more services need to intervene when they have concerns.
