Two men escape injury after amphibious gyrocopter crash

Two men managed to escape injury after their amphibious aircraft crashed on take-off near Newcastle. The gyrocopter was skimming the water at a high speed when it overturned in Lake Macquarie this morning. After coming away unscathed, the pilot joined the hours long effort to retrieve the aircraft from the water.
