Several people had to be rescued from cars trapped in floodwaters after wild weather lashed South Australia overnight. Heavy rain triggered flash flooding and strong winds brought down trees across Adelaide and into the hills with emergency services inundated by calls for help. After a brief reprieve more wet weather is expected across the weekend.
