Fuel tax ends tonight with prices expected to rise

Australia's fuel excise will return to normal from midnight after it was halved six months ago to help motorists with surging cost of living pressures. The chairman of the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission Gina Cass-Gottlieb says the regulator is monitoring the situation closely.
