The soaring cost of fuel is causing financial pain everywhere and some regions worse off than others. One Indigenous community off the north Queensland coast is paying nearly three dollars a litre for unleaded petrol. Boating and fishing are a way of life on Palm Island now the soaring cost of fuel is making a trip in the tinny too expensive for many.
