Hyundai Glovis has launched an integrated logistics service with Shopee Korea to help Korean cosmetics brands expand into Southeast Asia, the company said Monday.
Launched this month, the service covers the entire shipping process, from domestic pickup and international freight to customs clearance, regulatory approvals and local order fulfillment.
By bringing these services under one provider, Hyundai Glovis aims to shorten delivery times, reduce logistics costs and simplify compliance with varying local regulations — a major hurdle for Korean beauty brands entering overseas markets.
Shopee, one of Southeast Asia's largest e-commerce platforms, serves approximately 700 million users across the region and Taiwan, with operations also extending to Brazil. Growing demand for Korean cosmetics has made the platform an important gateway for brands seeking overseas customers.
The companies plan to expand their partnership beyond Southeast Asia to Latin America and other markets, supporting broader cross-border sales of Korean products.
The initiative also aligns with Hyundai Glovis' push to diversify beyond Hyundai Motor Group. The logistics company aims to increase revenue from non-affiliated customers to 40 percent of total sales by 2030, leveraging its global road, sea and air freight network.
"We expect Shopee's platform reach and Hyundai Glovis' global end-to-end logistics network to create strong synergies," a Hyundai Glovis official said. "We will work to make logistics a competitive advantage, rather than simply a cost, for Korean brands expanding overseas."
